Course Description:
This course is designed for individuals seeking to serve as catechists for children ages 3-6 (PreK-K) and is also open to anyone seeking spiritual enrichment. This course includes at least 90 hours of presentations and reflections which model the presentations for children. Adult reflections help foster a deeper understanding of the Bible and the Holy Mass. Material making as well as practicing presentations (lessons) will be included. Completion of the entire course plus time observing in an atrium are required for Level I certification by the National Association of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.

Part 2 July 2025 (Dates TBA and will require a separate registration).

Materials Making Workshop: Date/Time TBD
Making a topographical map - Land of Israel
Workshop sessions will be limited to 20 participants to provide quality assistance. You will be welcomed with refreshments and experienced catechists who will share their particular expertise in making materials. Depending on the workshop, some materials will be provided. For some workshops there will be an extra materials fee or you can bring your own supplies.

Setting Up an Atrium

Staff and volunteers will be setting up our new atria in Verona! Would you like to learn how to set up an atrium as you offer your help, strong hands and ideas in preparing our new atria? How to organize the atrium art area, organizing the thematic presentations, the 4 focal points of materials in atrium, suggestions for practical life materials, etc. More information coming soon.

Montessori/CGS theory will be shared along with some key presentations for those wanting to help in the atrium but are not able to take the full course yet. Adults and older teens; parents and grandparents are welcome!
